Well it has been a while since I posted. I have been busy with my business and family stuff. I am looking into buying some new items for fall/winter. I will probably no longer be wholesaling out Mothers En Vogue items at BeyondMaternity.com .
Our 2003 minivan would not start after a trip to CVS for deals (5 free toothpastes and 1 free deodarant - used coupons to make the toothpaste more than free!) on Monday with Adelynn. The lights came on but when I turned the key to start -NOTHING! Not a sound, no crank. It was pooring rain, and my phone was about dead. I was able to call my hubby, Flynn, and he brought Emilynn. When he finally arrived, we called our roadside assistance. That took 1.5 hours! We were then towed to the dealership. That trip to CVS (with plans for 2 other stores after) took 3 hours.
So the dealer calls us the next day at like 7:30am asking what the problem was. Apparently the van started fine. They continued to check supposedly on the hour and it kept starting. They stated that it could be many things and it must “happen” for them to know what is wrong. They kept it another day (Wednesday). We only got one call that day near the end of the day stating that they can not find anything wrong, so come pick it up. This was not comforting as I knew something was really wrong.
So when Flynn got home from work we all piled into his car and headed to the dealership. The porter brings the van up to the front and turns it off (Thank you Lord!). As I go to turn it on, it is DEAD! Yeah! Finally they know we are not nuts. They had to get another man over to push it back in. I think that the 2nd man was a mechanic, and he was looking at it (work day was over) as we left before pushing it inside.
So today it did not start for them either. Thank goodness it did not start, or we would probably have had to wait again for it to die. The problem is PCM whatever that is. They say it is covered under the power train warranty!! WOOHOO! No need to try to get our bankrupt extended warranty company (Flynn’s old employer) to pay. Now they say it won’t be ready until Friday - probably a part they need.
With all this I realized that we really do not need 2 cars. The only day this week I needed my van was Monday. Since Flynn works at home on Tuesday and Thursday, I can use his car those days. Monday is one of our two library days, but we could go another day. Unfortunately I do not think we will give up the little car as the gas mileage is so much better than the van, and we really feel that we use the van enough (for the space) to need it.
